You're kidding, right? Since 1965? Well... pregnant, married, two FABULOUS children, moved 13 times, divorced, vet. hosp., geological tech., start college at 40, bachellors in anthropology and comparative religions, masters in elem. education, teaching 13 years, 4 grandchildren, visited England, Scotland, Wales, Southern France, Barcelona, looking forward to Ireland this summer, my brother is great, voted for Obama, happy as a clam.

Didn't make it to Ireland, revisited Wales (Dr. Who studio) and England (tour of Harry Potter sites) with grandchildren, children and grandchildren living in the Netherlands so i'm there in the summers, both son-in-laws are neutralizing chemical weapons around the world - one winning the Nobel Peace Prize a couple of years ago, 1 1/2 years 'til retirement, still happy as a clam :)

5/28/20 Retired in 2017. Visited Spain with the family. Cancer came along a little over a year ago and interrupted things. Had my last chemo in February. Except for the fact that there is a pandemic and the political world has lost its mind, all is well :)

Happy Birthday, Karen! here's hoping everything is good for your birthday. Don't worry about candles, have the girls over and the cake and the ice cream will magically show up! However you do it, have fun. You deserve to celebrate after the last year and as a retired teacher. As a former teacher myself, I never wanted to see another school classroom again. I'll do Sunday School 6 days and a 7th if needed, but all the disrespect I got handed to me in high school Spanish classes is now being owned by the disrespectful ones and they are reaping what they sowed. Don't get me wrong, I had lots of kids that were wonderful. It was the few crazies that ruined it for everybody. But that's life and God has seen us through those years. Happy Birthday, Karen! I remember sitting in alphabetical order in some classes at RHS and there you would be in the back (or on a side row) with me because our last name starts with a V. I always thought to myself: "that's right and V stands for victory"! Anyway, I saw what Mark suggested and I hope you get a ton of birthday cards.
