Yes! Attending Reunion

I graduated from RHS in 1964 (on my 18th birthday) and went to NMSU, where I graduated in 1969. Since I was too shy to actually teach middle or high school English, which was what I earned my degree in, I became a secretary at NMSU and remained there until I married and moved to Oklahoma in 1976. Ten years later I moved back to Las Cruces after a divorce, and there I have remained. I retired from NMSU in December, 2010, after a total of 30 years of service in two shifts, and in January began nearly full-time employment as the office manager for a local architectural firm. I stay busy with church activities, attending Aggie sports events and theater and music events locally, particulary those my daughter is involved with.

School Story:

I was an extremely shy and nerdy high school student - one of those whose only actual experience with a prom was helping to decorate as a junior for the junior/senior prom while listening to "Puff the Magic Dragon" on KOMA. I never dragged Main or circled Greer's - was in Honor Society, FTA and Tri-Hi-Y, and on the Coyote staff my senior year. My sister, Gayle Moore, graduated from RHS in 1966. She has been divorced for several years and moved back to Las Cruces at that time.

Happy Birthday, Janet! You are 6 months older but why did it seem in high school days you were so far ahead of me? Perspective is everything. I I hope your birthday is wonderful and you are doing well in Cruces. Enjoy it and the fellowship of your loved ones. Take care and KLUICS! Psalm 46.

Welcome Janet! Happy Birthday to you and blessings on you and your family. Thanks for sharing a little about yourself. About two thirds of us were the same way: shy, unassuming, kind of scared to launch out into the grand experiment called life. Once we did though we owned everything we tried, good or bad and lived with the consequences. We learned on the go and count our blessings and trust that God will work his will for our good. May your family rise up and call you blessed. KLUJICS! Psalm 91.
Respectfully, Paul Viera, RHS 65 Classmate
