Dixie (Ramm) and I got married in Oct. of 1967 and we moved to Oklahoma the summer of 69. I then joined the Marine Corps in Dec of 69 and it was about 2 years before Dixie could get back to ENU to get her double degree in music and education. I still ain't got mine! We've traveled all over in various church positions mainly related to music. These days I'm doing a one man show of Sinatra etc. type music for dinner clubs, supper clubs, living and retirement centers as well as memory care units.
Mom passed in January of 2022 and Dad in May of 2018. I had a great time at the 50th reunion! I try to stay in touch with as many of my Classmates as possible. What an incredible group of people.

School Story:

After graduation, many of us went to ENMU for further studies. Yea, right! Anyway, during our Sops. year before homecoming in Portales, it was the job of us "upper-classmen" to try and burn the Freshmen bonfire early. My old friend and roomate made our way to the location of the wood pile and proceeded to push some Freshmen around. This one guy who was about 4' 11'' picked up a stick and whacked my buddy in the head. The whacker ran, we chased (bleeding scalp and all) and were finally picked up by George, the campus cop. My buddy was taken to the emergency room and got about 10 stitches to close his scalp. My buddy was John Byrd. Man, I miss him!

This announcement is sad for me. Butch and I were friends in South Jr. Hi. He lived just across the street from the school. He had the coolest Cushman Eagle (s). He spiced them up with a taillight from a 59 Cadillac. Very classy. We didn't hang out much in HS but always greeted one another with a smile and a handshake when we saw each other. What a great friend. I'm so happy to hear he is resting in the arms of his Savior.

It saddens me to hear of Tommy's passing. I knew Tommy in Jr Hi days at South Jr Hi. We played Little League baseball in Lions Hondo. Dixie and i will be lifting Tommy's family in prayer.

I am sad to hear of Jim's passing. Kim and I got crossways our senior year..don't remember why but we did. It was sowesome to see him at our last reunion and laugh about our youth. It was good to see his giant smile and friendly spirit. I take heed of Jim's encouragement to take good care of your friends. Let's be quick to forgive and purpose to love one another no matter what. I agree with Joe's sentiment..RIP Jim. Indeed..Rest In Peace. You are missed! May your smile live forever!

On June 13, 2013, the Texas Ranger's Baseball Club selected Tommy Ray Williams, aka Pops, to sing O' Canada before the start of the game that day in Arlington, Texas.
