Comments:

After 17 years and 7 months of teaching Spanish I am going to collect on my Tennessee Consolidated Retirement Fund. No more high school classrooms for me - finally! I have been a pastor in missions and churches with So. Bapt. work (full time in Texas, Illinois, New Mexico, California until 1978), worked as a data researcher for New Mexico Health Systems agency(1979-1981), investigated motor vehicle accidents for the USDOT (NHTSA/NASS) for 10 years, 5 in Albuquerque, 5 in Memphis (Shelby and Tipton Cos), and taught Spanish in Tennessee for 17 plus years.

School Story:

After high school at RHS, school took me away from Roswell and I have never lived there again since August, 1966. I went to ENMU for 3 semesters, transferred to UNM where I graduated in the exact middle of all graduates in 1970, I met my wife to be in 1969 in Albuquerque, got married 07/11/70 and have remained in this "condition" ever since (next year will be our 44th). I went to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Aug of 1970 and graduated with a Master of Divinity in May of 1973. The rest is history you see above under comments.

My favorite story happened when I was real hungry and there was a pep rally on Friday before the big Hobbs-Roswell game. The pep rally had just ended, the bell rang, and I, on the third row bleacher seats, east side, shot off like a horse in race, I must have stepped on a girls back while jumping to the floor to run to the cafeteria, but I did not look back. I was the third in line and did eat. But to this day I do not know who the girl was. I hope she is not reading this....

Welcome Janet! Happy Birthday to you and blessings on you and your family. Thanks for sharing a little about yourself. About two thirds of us were the same way: shy, unassuming, kind of scared to launch out into the grand experiment called life. Once we did though we owned everything we tried, good or bad and lived with the consequences. We learned on the go and count our blessings and trust that God will work his will for our good. May your family rise up and call you blessed. KLUJICS! Psalm 91.

Happy Birthday, young Janet! How I remember back to 6th grade. Guys with jeans and t-shirts, girls in spring dresses and saddle oxfords together exploding in hormones. We were one big beautiful mess of kids. I just want to wish you the very best birthday ever. May your children rise and call you blessed. KLUJICS! Psalm 91. Happy Birthday, Bob! How's it going? How's Mesa treating you? Thought any more about moving back to Roswell? Me neither. But I have thought lots about moving from where I do presently reside. I guess it's the distance from family and what I know as my "roots". I'm straying off my task though which is to wish you a great and wonderful birthday celebration and wonderful surprises that come along with them to cheer the heart. Be blessed, bro., and love on those little ones near you. They are your treasure. KLUJICS! and Psalm 91 to you. Rest under the shadow of the wings of the Almighty.

Dear Joe: Just want to take the opportunity to wish Debby a Happy Birthday. She may not remember it but God surely does and He is preparing her home for her when she goes home. I am praying for you and know that though we have never met our Father in heaven has His arms around both of you. He will strengthen you beyond understanding. Psalm 91.

Happy Birthday, Sandra! Hope you and Dwight are doing well and good in Marion while staying high and dry from too much rain and flooding up and down the Mississippi. Yeah, I know Marion is far from Old Muddy but seems like MS and LA are getting hammered this spring. Anyway, I digress. Hope you have a great birthday and Dwight and your kids rise up and called you blessed. Proverbs 31:28. KLUJICS! Psalm 91.

Happy Birthday, Dale! How are things in Old Hickory? Hope everything is high and dry where you are. This rain weather pattern is keeping the temps down so far, but it won't be long before we start seeing long days of heat in a row complete with high humidity.
But that's the way of it in Tennessee. Enjoy your birthday and Keep Looking Up Jesus is Coming Soon=KLUJICS! Psalm 91.
