Comments:

After 17 years and 7 months of teaching Spanish I am going to collect on my Tennessee Consolidated Retirement Fund. No more high school classrooms for me - finally! I have been a pastor in missions and churches with So. Bapt. work (full time in Texas, Illinois, New Mexico, California until 1978), worked as a data researcher for New Mexico Health Systems agency(1979-1981), investigated motor vehicle accidents for the USDOT (NHTSA/NASS) for 10 years, 5 in Albuquerque, 5 in Memphis (Shelby and Tipton Cos), and taught Spanish in Tennessee for 17 plus years.

School Story:

After high school at RHS, school took me away from Roswell and I have never lived there again since August, 1966. I went to ENMU for 3 semesters, transferred to UNM where I graduated in the exact middle of all graduates in 1970, I met my wife to be in 1969 in Albuquerque, got married 07/11/70 and have remained in this "condition" ever since (next year will be our 44th). I went to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Aug of 1970 and graduated with a Master of Divinity in May of 1973. The rest is history you see above under comments.

My favorite story happened when I was real hungry and there was a pep rally on Friday before the big Hobbs-Roswell game. The pep rally had just ended, the bell rang, and I, on the third row bleacher seats, east side, shot off like a horse in race, I must have stepped on a girls back while jumping to the floor to run to the cafeteria, but I did not look back. I was the third in line and did eat. But to this day I do not know who the girl was. I hope she is not reading this....

Happy[[ Birthday, Ken! Hope everything is good for you in Torrance CA. These are the days that matter. The ones in which we will make that difference that our teachers told us about. In our later years we have accumulated lots of knowledge and seen so many things that are astonishing. We are being watched by our peers and families. Have we made a difference? I say rousingly and proudly that we have. We have not been insulated nor have we isolated ourselves. Boldly we have stepped to the plate and taken our swings. I would say the say the Class of 1965 has knocked it out of the ballpark. But that's 'just me ( and the pride I have in all of us) speaking and I believe it to be true. May your birthday be great. KLUJICS! Psalm 27:1-5

Happy Birthday, Fred! Hope you and Patty are fine. Spring is very near and hopefully you won't get a bad case of spring fever like we used to get back on the day. The smell of the grass the warm sun on our back, and the sneezing that would seize some of us way more than others. Along with all that it was your birthday. I trust this one will be spectacular. KLUJICS! Psalm 27:1-5.

Happy Birthday, Lee! I know you will express thanks for one more year of life. It"s at our age we hear the term "suffering saints" but I 'd us rather think that we are grateful people. Why complain? Anyway, be blessed and a blessing all year long. KLUJICS! Psalm 27: 1-5

Happy Birthday, Robt.! It is a good thing to look forward to: birthday time! A time to reflect, to encourage others, to hope, and, among other things, a time to give thanks. It makes sense. We continue to look forward and not cling to the past yet know how far and from where we've come. It's not much but it's a legacy that we can leave our kids. Hope it"s a good one for you. KLUJICS! Psalm 6:24-26. Respectfully, Paul Viera, RHS 65 Classmate
