Comments:

After 17 years and 7 months of teaching Spanish I am going to collect on my Tennessee Consolidated Retirement Fund. No more high school classrooms for me - finally! I have been a pastor in missions and churches with So. Bapt. work (full time in Texas, Illinois, New Mexico, California until 1978), worked as a data researcher for New Mexico Health Systems agency(1979-1981), investigated motor vehicle accidents for the USDOT (NHTSA/NASS) for 10 years, 5 in Albuquerque, 5 in Memphis (Shelby and Tipton Cos), and taught Spanish in Tennessee for 17 plus years.

School Story:

After high school at RHS, school took me away from Roswell and I have never lived there again since August, 1966. I went to ENMU for 3 semesters, transferred to UNM where I graduated in the exact middle of all graduates in 1970, I met my wife to be in 1969 in Albuquerque, got married 07/11/70 and have remained in this "condition" ever since (next year will be our 44th). I went to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Aug of 1970 and graduated with a Master of Divinity in May of 1973. The rest is history you see above under comments.

My favorite story happened when I was real hungry and there was a pep rally on Friday before the big Hobbs-Roswell game. The pep rally had just ended, the bell rang, and I, on the third row bleacher seats, east side, shot off like a horse in race, I must have stepped on a girls back while jumping to the floor to run to the cafeteria, but I did not look back. I was the third in line and did eat. But to this day I do not know who the girl was. I hope she is not reading this....

Somehow it happens every time that when I say wait, don't post a Birthday greeting until 1 or 2 days before that I end up late. So Happy Birthday I know you will live you "new" year with joy and "Thanksliving". At no time is any thing in this old world guaranteed. Though there are lots of wonderful and good things in it, only things that are eternal and given by God have true value. KLUJICS! Psalm 145:8-13.

Happy Birthday, Mark! I didn't know you well in high school; heck none of us knew each other except by what we heard from classmates about each other. When you think about it, high school was like one big rumor mill. "Did you hear what happened to ____?" or "Do you know what ____ did?" All of it was so childish. But it's how we grew. It was how the pecking order was defined. That was life then. We were seeing what was obvious on the otside and never much concentrated on what was on the inside. Each one has taken a long time to develop. Each one unique. I would not trade it for the world. It made us strong and we finished what we started the best way we knew how. So now here we are 54 years later. I thank God for what I have and am because it's all because of Him. You have a great birthday, Mark. Sorry for droning on... KLUJICS! Psalm 145:8

Happy Birthday, Butch! How are things in San Angelo? I know you're busy doing all sorts of things to keep order around the house. Hope you and Susan enjoy a wonderful birthday celebration and your kids come around to join you in it. As baby boomers the media now says we are an older generation that is not in the majority anymore. We are the ones we used to make fun of now. What keeps us young is that we don't want to be thought of as old. But no matter how they don't like it, we still have it. We are still on top no matter what they say. No bragging. Just the facts. We 65'ers paid our dues. And will continue to do it until we check out... KLUJICS! Psalm 145:8-13

Happy Birthday, Brad! 2 score and 14 years ago we graduated at the Wool Bowl, an event that set forth consequences we never dreamed would happen much less occur. Defeats and successes, loss of life and birth of children, ours, grands and greats all wtnessed and experienced by us in the natural course of time which is controlled by a Hand greater than ours. Another year of life is upon you and I know you will celebrate it and not squander any day of it. God bless you and Debbie and may all your family and friends join with your fun.
