Comments:

After RHS, I attended Eastern New Mexico University with Tommy and finally graduated in 1971 with double major in elementary classroom and music. I taught school 5 years in several different cities as we moved around quite a bit with Tommy’s work. Then I semi-retired from teaching to raise boys.
Our first son, Sean, (named for Sean Connery as pictured in our yearbook) was born 10 weeks premature in 1968 weighing 3 pounds 7 ounces. Thanks to God he had no problems and grew to be a strong healthy boy then man.
Our second son, Cole, was born in 1977 in Roswell and then Tim joined us in 1979 in Kansas City, Missouri.
I love the boys for sure but was definitely outnumbered with the guys and still "suffer" from being the only female in the house. Oh well, God did see fit to bring wonderful young women across my path through the years with whom I had great relationships, including my daughters-in-law.
I had a great experience homeschooling our two youngest sons for 6 years. I think I had a lot more fun than they did but they DID like being able to sleep a little later on most days. Our favorite time was when Tommy was singing at Epcot Center at Walt Disney World in Orlando. We took field trips to all the parks frequently and found ways to count it as school. When Tim and Cole decided in junior high that they wanted to attend regular school, they did so quite successfully.
I joined the corporate world in 1972 and worked for 10 years for INVESCO mutual fund company and worked my way from receptionist to vice president. It was a great company to work for and offered lots of growth opportunity. Really learned a lot about myself during that time and consider it a great privilege to have worked there. When they wanted me to move to Atlanta, Tommy and I opted out so we could live closer to our kids, who were all located in the Dallas area.
So we have been Texans since 2001 and loving it.
I partnered with our oldest son for 5 years owning and running a Medicare home health care agency. It was what you call “the best of times and the worst of times.” I did find out that I am not cut out to be a business owner and got out to see what else the world offers.
Since then have worked for hospice company, investment firm, and now myself again as consultant and free lance book keeper. I have found that it does take a village to raise and care for children these days so mostly, Tommy and I spend time with our 6 (soon to be 7) grandchildren and love it.

Updated 10/22/15 - Still recovering from the great time at the reunion with the most wonderful people in the world!! Tommy and I had a BLAST!!
This week is our 48th wedding anniversary and my 68th birthday. It's a great time to reflect on life. What a blessing!!!!

Now have 9 grandchildren, which we think are the greatest in the world! I'm working part time from home doing chart audits for a hospice and Tommy is singing 2-30 times a month at various community events. Lots of assisted living, independent living and memory care communities as well as churches and a local winery. And of course, I'm his driver for those shows.

I have to brag on Tommy Ray (that's his "stage name"). Even though his loss of most of his sight has made his life difficult, he continues to amaze me with the diligence with which he keeps on going. He has to work so very hard to see everything but he still searches and downloads music for his shows, memorizes every song, mows the yard, and keeps the umpires on television baseball games in line.

He is a great husband, father and grandfather. Much loved by many.

We hope to see our Roswell friends any time they make it to north Texas.

In case you are unable to open the pdf of the obituary, here's the text:

Obituary for Lin Hall In Loving Memory Lin Hall, born in Roswell, NM on November 16, 1946, passed away on March 4, 2025, in Fort Collins, CO, due to long-lasting chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Lin graduated from Roswell High School in 1965 and married Kathy Ramm on May 3, 1967. Lin is survived by Kathy, his wife of 57 years, two daughters Cindy Ortiz and Shelley Ziegler; four grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter, all whom he loved very much. He served in the National Guard and worked his way up in banking at First National Bank of Roswell to Assistant Vice President of Mortgage Banking in Lubbock, Texas. Additionally, he followed his father and grandfather's footsteps in law enforcement, serving in the Roswell SheriU's Department. Lin's devotion to his community extended to his spiritual life, where he served as Associate Pastor at Midway Assembly of God in Roswell, NM. In 1984 he founded and served as Executive Director of Teen Challenge of New Mexico until 2016, rescuing through the power of Jesus Christ many high-risk teen girls and boys from a life of crime, drugs, and other lifecontrolling problems. Lin also founded and served as chaplain in the Bernalillo County SheriU's Department from 1990 to 2002. He retired in Fort Collins, CO in 2016. His favorite activities included riding his horses with his family and fishing in Colorado with his grandchildren. Known by many as Brother Lin, he will be remembered for his deep love for his family and his unwavering commitment to helping others. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.

Debby and I spent many Sunday afternoons together after church as kids at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Roswell. Her dad was pastor there. It was great seeing her at RHS class reunions and hearing of her life after Roswell. She’s in the arms of her Savior now. Blessings to Joe and her family with fond memories.

Happy Birthday Dixie I hope you have a wonderful day October 23rd! I moved to the Dallas area in 1967. I lived so close to you not long ago before I moved in 2010. I was on 2 acres next Lake Lavon. We are in a small world sometimes.

Happy Birthday, Dix! I know it's a week ahead of time but no time like the present. Enjoy a great Sunday with Tom and your family (and friends at church) for your birthday. You are younger than me so that makes you a young whippersnapper in my book. Anyway, be blessed and love on those grands. Be safe, be strong and be of good courage. KLUJICS!
